Outsourcing your records storage and management solutions to KUSI saves you valuable time, space and resources and with our ability to digitize paper records, we can now service clients nationwide.
Our massive 32 acre subterranean facility provides natural protection and a safe, secure environment for all your hard-copy needs. Located approximately 130 feet below the surface, KUSI provides unique protection from natural disasters that threaten other above ground structures. Geothermic conditions allow temperature to remain stable at approximately 60° F. and a customized dehumidifier maintains humidity levels below 54% creating an excellent storage environment for document preservation.
RECORDS MANAGEMENT
With nearly 500,000 boxes of paper documents entrusted to us by our customers KUSI has developed a full range of services aimed at providing a safe, secure and reliable storage facility for our customers
Customers can view, track and edit their complete inventory on-line through our Recall web module. They can also create and generate reports in a variety of formats and the inventory application can be customized to include desired metadata fields that can be viewed on-line or down-loaded in an Excel format.
Each customer has 24/7 access to their records and can retrieve a document at any time. KUSI offers a variety of retrieval options to include:
Courier Service - KUSI has its own fleet of vehicles that serve the bluegrass region. Clients can request and receive documents on a same day or next day basis as well as requesting emergency deliveries around the clock.
Scan-on-Demand or Fax - Documents can be digitized and retrieved through our on-line retrieval system or via e-mail. An e-mail notification will be delivered after the process has been completed. Faxing is also an available option.
Commercial Delivery - KUSI can schedule, coordinate and track any delivery or pick-up to or from a desired destination using a commercial carrier.
Purges - KUSI can perform a record's purge at your location in preparation for records relocation to our location for storage and/or imaging.
Audits and Projects - Audits, large or small, can be completed in one of our two audit areas. Internet connection via Wi-Fi is available as needed. Project work includes boxing and indexing with a complete inventory listing available on-line at projects end. Inventory information can also be delivered in an Excel document via web or e-mail.
SECURITY
In addition to the natural protection a subterranean facility provides, KUSI prides itself on providing state of the art security.
While specific details are confidential our facilities are protected by a design using a minimum of six layers of overt defense strategy.
Security, Access Control and Digital Video Recording Systems are fully independent and have remote access capabilities that may be deployed. Facility intrusion detection and fire detection systems are monitored by central alarm stations that provide automatic response action.
Vehicles are unmarked and secured before each delivery is made. Employees undergo background checks and are required to sign a
non-disclosure agreement, thus maintaining the confidentiality of each KUSI client.
Our remote location provides an added measure of protection against would be saboteurs.
