Media Storage
Our media storage vaults are constructed with 10-inch thick, steel reinforced, poured concrete walls and ceilings. Design specifications were originally established by a client in the energy sector whose requirements were so rigid that even today our vaults provide safe storage for valuable media. Temperature and humidity levels are controlled at approximately 68º F and 60% RH respectively, ideal storage conditions for magnetic media. Our vaults are located 800 feet from the main entrance and 150' below ground surface, providing additional protection above and beyond their construction.
SERVICE:
KUSI provides all of the following services as part of media storage:
Bar-coding - Regardless of media type, all items are inventoried and tracked by a bar-coded label. KUSI can use factory bar-code labels or generate labels to identify specific media for unique rotational schedules.
Media rotations - Schedule daily, weekly or monthly service intervals for media rotations depending upon your needs. KUSI can rotate and schedule by individual items or by case. Daily audit reconciliations are performed to ensure rotation accuracy.
On-line inventory access - View, track and edit your complete inventory through our Recall Vault web module. Customers can also create and generate numerous reports in a variety of formats as well as enjoy the ability to schedule requests. Inventory application can be customized to include desired metadata fields.
Retrieval - Retrieval times and days can be set to desired intervals including weekends to accommodate rotational schedules. Each client has 24/7 access to their stored information. If an emergency occurs, a simple phone call will put you in contact with one of our on-call staff to expedite an emergency delivery.
Disaster recovery - When disasters occur, our dedicated staff is ready. We will assist in and follow your established procedures until the job is complete. We can deliver your media via KUSI courier, commercial shipper or our clients can pick them up at our location. KUSI also provides audit areas for our clients to organize media during test exercises.
SECURITY:
Our vault construction and location provide a solid measure of security. Our master vaults are equipped with independent fire
detection and intrusion systems to provide an added layer of protection. Digital Video Recording Systems are in place to monitor vault activity. KUSI also employs resident guard services not only to prevent any would be breaches, but also for quick response to any emergency.
